The Colorado Avalanche are getting their star captain back. Landeskog had been out since January 26th with a concussion he sustained in a brutal hit he took from Brad Stuart in the game against the Sharks, but he is set to return today when the Avs take on the defending Stanley Cup Champs in LA.

The news couldn’t be any better for Avalanche fans. Having won three of their last four, the Avalanche and their fans have some hope. Even more so, knowing that they’re getting their captain back.

The Avs were 2-2-0 when Landeskog went down with the concussion, and they went on to lose 5 of their next 7 games, which then had them at 4-6-1, and with most fans screaming for basically every head in the front office.

But there is some hope. Maybe, just maybe, this team can put a little run together and even get a little healthy in these next couple games.

The Avs are currently on a California road trip, taking on the Kings today, Anaheim on Sunday, and the rematch with San Jose on Tuesday.
