Detriot Lions wide receiver Calvin “Megatron” Johnson has broken Jerry Rice’s record for most receiving yards in a single season (1,871). Megatron has also broken the record for most consecutive games with 100 or more receiving yards (8).
The record come with a cost. The Detroit Lions have had no run game all year long and have been a pass-happy all year long, which could have something to do with Calvin Johnson being able to break the Hall of Famer’s record. The Lions are about to drop their 7th straight game and will fall to 4-11 on the season. All of that aside though, Calvin Johnson has put his name in the record books.
