Anthony Rodriguez, “A-Rod” as his friends and co-workers have called him, graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver, as a Speech Communication (Broadcasting Concentration) Major, Digital Media-Motion Media Minor with a 3.6 Cumulative GPA. Originally from the LA suburbs in California, Anthony has been raised in the Rocky Mountains and Denver area for most of his life. An avid lover and follower of everything related to sports, Anthony has been dedicated and passionate about everything he’s done, and his confidence and enthusiasm have pushed him to the top in whatever endeavors he’s taken on.
He has always tried to show his passion, stellar attitude, and high level of initiative for his work in broadcast media, and has been known to be punctual, highly competent, and extremely professional in hopes to ascend in his broadcasting career.
Anthony is a currently a Production Assistant at ESPN.
Anthony was the Weekend Sports Anchor & Weekday News Multimedia Journalist at KGNS-TV in Laredo, Texas.

Anthony was Sports Intern at Fox31 Denver KDVR/ Colorado’s Own Channel 2 KWGN where he assists in weekly sportscasts, contributing scripts, videos, and more.
Anthony was a Play-by-Play Announcer, Production Assistant, and Anchor for The Metro State Broadcast Network, MSU Denver’s leader in Roadrunners sports.
He hosted the weekly “KMET Sports Show” bi-weekly on MyMetMedia.com/KMETRadio which airs Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-5 p.m. MT.
Anthony is a former Sports-Talk show host on the LightningRod Radio Network.
Anthony was previously a part of the Social Media team at Examiner.com and previously worked with the Altitude Radio Network for the Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets.
He is also the Founder, Administrator, Editor, & Publisher for his own Denver Sports website, LightningRodSports.com.
