In a night where the Colorado Avalanche played one of their best games of the season, luck was not on their side as Greg Zanon was trying to clear the puck and strange deflection of a referees skate sent the puck right towards Phoenix Coyote player Kyle Chipchura who passed to the wide open Shane Doan who’s wrist shot beat Varlamov for the win. A truly bizarre way for the game to end and the Avs poor luck to begin this season continues. Now, there are positive to take out of this game. RECAP: Nuggets Win 112-104 over Bucks

Coming into Tuesday, the Nuggets were 30-18 and hosting Monta Ellis and the Milwaukee Bucks. Playing sub-par early in the game and down by 2 after the first quarter, 15 at the half, and 7 after the third, the Nuggets just wouldn’t be denied. Despite Dalembert’s 35 points, Gallo and Lawson both added 22 points as the Nuggs outscored the Bucks 33-18 in the fourth quarter to get the 112-104 victory and extend their winning streak to 7 games, which is currently the second longest winning streak in the NBA as of Tuesday, and has catapulted them into a tie for 4th place in the Western Conference. The Denver Nuggets are 11-3 in the month of January, which has put them in the top-5 in just about every national basketball poll out there. Despite questionable losses to Minnesota and Washington during this month, they now sit at 28-18, which is good for 6th in the western conference as of Tuesday.
